Once upon a time in the Sandbox of Rassilon there was an argument. An argument between shippers....
This is my opinion of Doctor Who Fandom. I've had a few friends dealing with a lot of flack recently, and its stupid. It really is. I don't care if you are a Doctor/Martha or a Doctor/Rose Shipper. People are being fucking rude. And, in my opinion the Doctor agrees. This is my statement on that.
This is NOT my representation of the personality of the characters. I use Martha to represent Doctor/Martha Shippers and Rose to represent Doctor/Rose shippers. I know not all of us are like this.... but there's a certain loud portion of the fandom that ruins it up for the rest of us. Eventually no one is listening anymore, we just pester one another and yell "AT" each other.
(can we tell I'm cranky tonight?)
Anyway, this is for anyone who's dealt with fanwank on either side. Especially Swankkat and Jesidres.
All characters and rights there of belong to the BBC.

My favorite is Rose, but I also STARTED with Rose. There was quite a bit I liked about Martha as well. I've seen a bit of old Who, but I've been told I'll love Romana and Ace SO I'm anxiously awaiting my OLDSKOOL education? XD You don't have to just like one. Thats the beauty of it all. You can like WHOEVER you want... its getting others to not bother you about it that's the hard part.
I usually get crap because I LOVE LOVE LOVE Girl in the Fireplace. I think its a fantastic episode...evidently that's one I shouldn't like for some reason???
I think you might really like Ace. Gotta like a companion that kicked butt and liked to blow things up. Romana 2 is another cheeky companion that makes me chuckle with her snark. I've started watching the O.S. Who available on DVD from the beginning so I'm sure I'll find things I like about each companion and Doctor that make me smile and flinch and smirk.

Yeah! I've heard about Ace. I'm TOTALLY excited. I mean 80's AND explosives. It really doesn't get much better than that. XD! Besides, I enjoy being able to go back to some of the old stuff (I've only seen one or two of the old episodes and the Five Doctors Special). Its interesting to see how its changed and developed from then to now... but at the same time... its nostalgic and makes me giggle. I only saw it a few times when I was younger, didn't realize what it was until now...(WOOT PBS!) but yeah. I just dislike seeing some of the immature behavior that occurs. Everyone deserves to have fun, but not at the expense of ruining it for others.
